The André Cane Museum - 10am-12pm / 2pm-5pm
With the association Beaulieu Historique

This museum highlights the incredible history of the town: photos, postcards, ceramics and Roman coins, anecdotes from the Belle Epoque, tools and many other surprising discoveries allow the visitor to follow the evolution of the small hamlet into a flourishing town.

The Olivaie garden - 8am-6pm

A few steps from the sea, the Jardin de l'Olivaie, a haven of peace and serenity, is originally an ancient olive grove on the estate of Hippolyte Marinoni, inventor of the rotary press and the first mayor of the town in 1891. The establishment of the olive tree is intimately linked to the life and development of Beaulieu-sur-Mer, hence its ancient name of Olivo.

The perfect place for your picnic!

The Palais de May (conservatory), the Rotunda (currently the Circé restaurant) and the Town Hall - 10am-1pm
In the presence of the elected officials of Beaulieu-sur-Mer.

Palaï de May or Villa de May
Built in 1826 by Count Gaétan de May, this building was designed in a neo-classical style in reaction to the baroque, in order to rediscover the spirit of antiquity. On the first floor, the ceilings and walls are decorated with paintings on mythological subjects: Judgement of Paris, the labours of Hercules, Diana the Huntress, etc. They constitute a decorative ensemble that has become rare in the region and bear witness to the trend that has developed since the middle of the 18th century (the beginning of the Pompeii excavations).
Today, the villa has become the Conservatory of Music and Arts of the canton.

The Rotunda
A true architectural masterpiece of the Belle Epoque, the Rotonde was once the restaurant of the former Hotel Bristol (1899). This majestic circular building, topped with a dome that floods it with light, is now listed in the supplementary inventory of Monuments Historiques.
Since May, it has been home to the CIRCE restaurant, which has created a decorative and culinary universe based on this magical goddess from ancient times.

The Town Hall
This country house was transformed into a school in 1882. When Beaulieu-sur-Mer was detached from Villefranche-sur-Mer in 1891, the building was shared with the new municipal institutions, and eventually became the Town Hall. Discover how it functions today.
